Kent Carers Emergency Card
The Emergency Card scheme provides you as a Carer with peace of mind when you are away from the person you care for, where that person is aged 18 or over. One of the main concerns Carers tell us they have when leaving the person they look after is what would happen if they were taken ill or involved in an accident.
When you register with this free scheme you will be given the opportunity to document what you would like to happen in an emergency e.g. contact a relative.
How will the card help me?
You will be given a card to carry with you that has a reference number unique to you and a contact number for a 24hr call centre, which can be used at a time of need.
You carry the card at all times so that the card can be used to identify that you care for someone aged 18 or over. The card does not contain any personal details.
This free service is available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
